The Museum today occupies the former passenger station built for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1913.  This rare Baggage Cart was used at the station to load packages onto the trains.

The green and red colors and diamond-shaped sign tell us the cart was part of the "Railway Express Agency" which delivered nationwide--like FedEx or UPS, today.

Fortunately, this Baggage Cart was restored in 2021 by Bill Melton with funding by the Tulare County Historical Society.
